I awoke this morning determined to learn how to use my new mat cutter!! It is harder than it looks and I really had to put some muscle into the process. I have 4 mats cut for 7 original gouache paintings of the same scene - 3 Flamingos. The one pictured here is #8.This summer my husband and I had an opportunity to visit Hawaii for the first time and we joined my younger sister and her family on the trip! We really had a lot of fun and I did take a ton of photographs - mostly of their family posing in front of every place we visited! Chelsea and I took a quiet walk over to the Hilton Village and took about 50 photographs of all the wildlife on display and I have enough painting reference material for a lifetime now!!
